Science Week

This week has been Science week and we have been learning about our local environment and the animals that live within it. Year 4 focused on Hedgehogs and we created some Hedgehog houses to provide a safe place for them to go to in our school grounds. The children decided to camouflage them so that any predators would not know that they were there. Take a look at our creations below.

One child researched about Hedgehogs and we also found out that there are 15 different species and each Hedgehog has 500 spines.

French person of the week

So far we have had two French stars of the week. Year 4 are waiting to find out who the French star will be this week!

Role Play

In Literacy last week we were looking at poetry by Allan Alhberg, our class poet. We learnt a poem all about excuses for not being able to complete school work which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Take a look below at Year 4 working well in small groups to create a poetry performance.

Welcome

Welcome to the new 2016-17 Year 4 blog. Please keep checking back to see what we have been up to and for further information on special events. Both the children and myself are looking forward to a busy year of learning that we will share with you regularly.
